Gratitude is important, we
often remind chidden to say "thank you".
1. How do you express your
gratitude to others?
2. Do you know someone who
expresses gratitude extravagantly?
3. What prevents you from
expressing gratitude?
1. I feel like I say "thank-you" a lot, but I know I'm missing opportunities all the time. At restaurants I try to thank the servers, even if they're simply filling a water glass. Writing thank you notes, or even thank you emails, texts, etc. is also important.
ReplyDelete2. A couple of times people have thanked me extravagantly, whatever I had done didn't seem like too big of a deal, but it must have been for them. I think sometimes it's hard to receive the gratitude too, we say - no problem - instead of simply saying 'you're welcome'
3. If I feel like I'm interrupting something else, forgetfulness (sometimes), laziness (esp when it comes to writing it out).
